- We are about to go on a journey of history regarding the word baja.
“Baja" as an adjective that means “low” in Spanish, but when it comes to land it refers to “lower”. Thus, “Baja California" means “Lower California”. Now, when California used to be part of Mexico, it was called “Alta California" or “Upper California". So what do we take from this? This should have been called the low or lower blanket camp shirt. What that means I have no idea, but what I do know is this is one bad ass shirt!
